La-Z-Boy Tukwila Asks: What’s in a Name?

The city of Tukwilla is asking residents for new park name suggestions for the Chinook Wind and Duwamish Gardens habitat sites. These sites, located along the Duwamish River between East Marginal Way South and Tukwila International Boulevard, provide shelter for threatened Chinook salmon and other wildlife species.

This park will eventually include viewing areas, walking trails, a boat launch, a gathering cirle, interpretive signage and art, and parking areas. It is expected that the Duwamish Gardens will be completed in 2016 and Chinook Wind will be developed over the next few years.
