Meet La-Z-Boy Improvement Technician, Eric Arnold

“Everyone wants to go to work and feel like they’re part of something,” says La-Z-Boy Improvement Technician, Eric Arnold.  “I was very excited to start working at La-Z-Boy.”

Eric goes on to share his thoughts about the quality furniture you can find in all of our La-Z-Boy Seattle stores saying:  “We want to provide our customers a unit they would be proud of. If I wouldn’t buy it, why would I build it?”

Eric has worked in a lot of different areas for La-Z-Boy and has moved up into a leadership position.  He’s proud to be among the La-Z-Boy leaders and says: “Listening is one of the best things we can do to stay connected with our employees…because they know their jobs a lot better than I do. We work together day in and day out so we want to make sure we provide the best place for all of us to work.”

“We have a culture of here of caring, a culture of looking out for each, really a family type atmosphere in the organization and Eric is one member of a large family,” says Kevin Harmon (General Manager of La-Z-Boy Residential).  When Eric’s son was diagnosis with a genetic disease, and the treatment required a number of challenges, La-Z-Boy employees began a fundraiser to help pay travel and medical expenses.

“I’ve been with La-Z-Boy for 15 years because ‘why would I go anywhere else?’” Eric declares.
